This battery adapter allows the Sony 7.2V Li-ion batteries used on the Teletest OZL1702, OZL2xxx LCD monitors, the OZE3100 and OZE3202 2.4GHz receivers and the OZE3110 and OZE3115 2.4GHz transmitters. Small and light it is designed for mounting on the rear of the products using two screws. The 2pin socket and cable fits through a hole that the adapter covers making it a very neat solution. When used with an OZP3950 Li-ion battery the adapter will power an LCD for approximately 3hours or a transmitter for approximately 6hours. Other Li-ion batteries from other manufacturers can also be used. The battery is held in place by a small plastic clip and two guides. If the product is handled roughly, the battery can often slide out of the adapter. Therefore, Teletest have included two methods for keeping the battery firmly in place:
a) OZP3190 battery retainer is a spring clip that fits between the battery adapter and the product
b) Velcro strips plus 2 screws. These strips are fixed either side of the adapter and wrap around the battery. This option is most suitable for hire companies when they rent out a product. This is because rough use of the battery retaining spring clip could break the plastic guides in the adapter.
