The Samsung S1050 is a high resolution digital camera that is equipped with a true-colour filtered 10.1 mega-pixel CCD. This allows the Samsung S1050 to produce even better images and take detailed photos for printing up to poster size. In addition, the Samsung S1050 has an optical 5x and digital 5x zoom giving 25x total zoom when combined.

The ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and colour common to flash photography. With ASR the effects of camera shake are reduced in low light conditions. The Samsung S1050 has an auto sensitivity feature that automatically adjusts sensitivity according to the ambient exposure conditions up to ISO 1600. The high sensitivity setting of ISO 1600 enables you to take clearer indoor pictures in poor light without camera shake or image blur.
Face recognition technology supports more beautiful portrait picture taking. This function automatically recognise the face of a subject and optimise focus and brightness in shooting.
Macro’s available up to 1cm. When set to Auto Macro Mode, the Samsung S1050 automatically adjusts the shooting distance and focus from between 10cm to infinity, helping you to take pictures more easily
The powerful manual function support enables you to express your image intentions according to the subject. For the convenient A Mode and S Mode functions, you can change mode easily by operating the left/right button (shutter speed priority) and up/down button (aperture priority) of the 5-directional button. When using the camera in M Mode, even a novice photographer can easily use the manual functions with the optimum exposure display at the bottom of the LCD.

With powerful video recording in SVGA(quality 800x600) at 20fps, it provides a wider screen view and clearer video quality.
The Samsung S1050 has a Movie Stabiliser function, which helps maintain steady recording ofa subject by automatically detecting and correcting any camera movements.
The Successive Recording function of the Samsung S1050, which is based on exclusive Samsung technology, allows you to pause and resume video recording as desired and merge those multiple movie into a single file.
For easier editing of movies, the Samsung S1050 allows you to select and save only the desire dpart into a new file during playback, on the camera. It also lets you to capture a still image during replay.
