The Energy Saver allows for improved efficiency of alkaline "AA" batteries for some flashes that require AA's when using the Turbo Batteries.
The Energy Saver is the size and shape of an AA battery. It substitutes for one of the alkaline batteries in the flash battery compartment. In other words, if a flash normally required 4 AA's when used with the Turbo Batteries, insert just 3 AA's and one Energy Saver. Always start with a fresh set of AA batteries.
Note: Due to their internal circuits, not all flashes can take advantage of the Energy Saver.
Also, using NiCads in any flashes when used with the Turbos is not recommended. A much greater capacity is achieved when using only Alkaline AA's with the Turbos.
