The NV20 is Samsung’s first 12 mega pixel compact camera featuring Samsung’s improved processing technology combined with features such as a 3 x optical zoom lens, Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) and Red-eye fix to deliver optimum image quality to all photographers. The sleek NV20 also offers additional functionality such as TV quality MPEG-4 VGA (640x480) 30 fps video recording and a photo gallery function for convenient picture viewing with the Smart Touch interface. The NV20 boasts a 2.5” LCD screen, a multi-charging system and it comes with a rechargeable battery.
The new Auto Contrast Balance automatically compensates the brightness of objects in challenging light environments (ie back lit conditions) to ensure a perfectly exposed image.
As part of the second generation of the NV series, the Samsung NV20 is equipped with a 12.1 mega pixel CCD.
Fast ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and colour which is sometimes found in flash photography. With Fast ASR the effects of image blur are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light conditions without using a flash at all, which guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.
The high-quality optics in Schneider-KREUZNACH lenses deliver crystal-clear images with every shot. The bright F2.8 lens offers even resolution from the centre to the edges. For more natural-looking pictures, each lens surface is multi-coated to minimise the "ghost" or "flare" phenomenon.
Navigating complicated menu systems is a thing of the past! The brilliant Smart Touch user interface makes accessing menu functions and reviewing your images an absolute pleasure. This unique touch-ensitive system gives you easy, intuitive control over the camera, and the large 2.5" LCD gives you a great view every time.
The new Samsung NV series includes all the iconic features of the NV range including a stable grip for the reduction of camera shake, a pop-up flash, the NV blue ring and unique state of the art Smart Touch interface.

The NV20 has a built-in Face Recognition AF & AE feature that detects up to nine different faces, enabling you to take perfect portraits of friends and family. In addition to automatically adjusting focus and brightness to optimum levels, this feature also senses and removes red-eye.
The NV20 supports MPEG4 VGA (640x480, 30fps) for enhanced video recording. You can even edit your movies on the camera itself, making these clever models brilliantly portable but powerful movie-makers.
With Samsung's unique multi-charging system, travelling has become even easier. With a single charging USB cable kit, SAC-46Kit (SAC-46, SUC-C2), you can conveniently charge the camera on a power point, your laptop or desktop computer.
A special red-eye fix algorithm on the camera automatically eliminates red-eye from your pictures. You can emove red-eye during image playback, or for even greater convenience, set the camera to automatically detect and eliminate red-eye from your shots as they are taken.
