The range of possible applications of the lens extends far beyond macro photography. It also enables brilliant results in the typical applications for medium-range telephoto lenses. When combined with the LEICA ELPRO 1:2-1:1 specially designed for this lens, macro photos up to a 1:1 magnification can be achieved.
APO-MACRO-ELMARIT-R is a fast macro lens with apochromatic correction. It is equally as good for format-filling pictures from somewhat greater distances as it is for portraits from medium range. This exceptional lens delivers outstanding imaging performance over its entire focusing range, from infinity to 45 cm or 17 3 /4 inches.
