The EOS 300V is an analog SLR film camera that combines high-end features and performance within a compact, lightweight and robust metallic body. It also offers the fastest autofocus in its class. Setting the benchmark for consumer SLR cameras, the new compact EOS 300V incorporates novel styling and enhanced technology features.
Seven focusing points, and the fastest AF area in its class, mean that the EOS 300V focuses quickly. The active focusing point is superimposed in red in the viewfinder. The exposure metering system uses 35 zones, linked to the active focusing point. The command dial has been moved to the right, enabling you to operate all the main controls with one hand.
In addition to the usual five basic programmed image control shooting modes, the EOS 300V offers a new "flash-off" mode, which disables the built-in flash, or an attached speedlite. The LCD panel has been moved to the back of the camera and is about three times larger than the panel on the EOS 300. The camera has a wide choice of accessories and the metal EF mount is compatible with over 60 EF lenses.
