Kodak Professional Ektatherm XLS Color Ribbon spools produce high-quality digital color images using Kodak Thermal Printers and the Kodak Picture Maker system. The spools are a web of clear polyester support with repeating patches of coated dye in a cyan, magenta, and yellow sequence. The proofing ribbon contains a black coated patch. The ribbons are available in two color gamuts (photographic color, or black and white) and in sizes up to 9.5 in. x 14 in. (24 cm x 34 cm). Kodak developed the dyes and materials specifically for the thermal dye transfer printer technology.
