The Tascam DR-100 compact digital recorder features four built-in condenser microphones – one cardioid pair and one omni-directional pair. Further input options are offered by two XLR inputs with switchable 48V phantom power and a stereo mini-jack line input. Recordings can be made in WAV (44.1.48.96kHz - 16/24bit) or mp3 format to the included 2GB SD card, reciordings can then be transferred to a computer via a USB 2.0 interface. Recordings can be started manually, automatically by level, advanced (by up to two seconds), delayed or from the included (wired/wireless) remote control. You can make overdubs, manually create a new file during recording, divide a recording and use locate markers. The unit is further equipped with switchable automatic analogue gain control with limiter, and switchable low-cut filter. A built-in mic stand screw socket allows the unit to be mounted on a tripod or microphone stand.
